I work with individuals, couples, parents, and families facing challenges that can leave them feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or unsure of what to do next.
Clients come to me for many different reasons. Some are struggling with anxiety, depression, relationships, or major life transitions. Others are trying to strengthen a marriage, recover after infidelity, navigate divorce or co-parenting, understand a child’s emotional or behavioral needs, or advocate for a child who needs additional support at school.
What they often have in common is a desire for more than simply talking about the problem. They are looking for understanding, practical guidance, and a clear path forward.
Individual counseling provides a supportive space to better understand what you’re experiencing, recognize patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and begin making meaningful changes.
We work with adults and young adults experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, grief, relationship difficulties, life transitions, self-esteem concerns, and periods of uncertainty or feeling overwhelmed.
Counseling is tailored to the individual, recognizing that the same challenge can look very different from one person to another.
Our approach is practical and collaborative. Together, we work toward developing greater insight, healthier coping strategies, improved relationships, and the confidence to make changes that can improve both emotional well-being and everyday life.
Insurance is accepted for most individual counseling services.
Couples counseling helps partners understand patterns of conflict, distance, or disconnection and develop healthier ways to communicate and reconnect.
We specialize in affair and infidelity recovery, helping couples navigate the emotional impact of betrayal, address trust and emotional safety, and determine whether and how the relationship can move forward.
For couples who are uncertain about staying together, discernment can provide a structured space to gain clarity before making major decisions. When couples choose recovery, our work focuses on rebuilding through honesty, accountability, understanding, and meaningful change.
This specialized work is offered through Affairs of the Heart Counseling, a specialty area of Finding Family Solutions.
Couples counseling, discernment, and affair recovery services are private pay only.
With dual certification and professional training and experience in both mental health counseling and special education, we bring a unique perspective to working with children and families.
We provide consultation and support for parents navigating special education, IEPs and 504 Plans, including reviewing existing plans, understanding evaluations and services, preparing for school meetings, and helping parents advocate effectively for their child.
We also work with families experiencing divorce, separation and changing family structures, helping parents support their children through the transition, develop healthier co-parenting relationships, and address the emotional and practical challenges of raising children across two homes.
This combined background allows us to look at the whole child, understanding how emotional, family, developmental, and educational needs can intersect.
Family Counseling & Special Education Counseling are private pay only.
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) with dual certification in Mental Health Counseling and Special Education, along with extensive graduate training and experience in Marriage and Family Therapy.
This combination gives me a unique perspective on the work I do with individuals, couples, children, and families.
My clinical work includes individual counseling, couples counseling, affair and infidelity recovery, and child and family consultation. I have a particular interest in helping people navigate difficult transitions, understand patterns that may be keeping them stuck, and develop greater clarity about what comes next.
Through Affairs of the Heart, a specialty area within Finding Family Solutions, I work extensively with couples navigating infidelity, betrayal, discernment, and relationship recovery.
Please see the Affairs of the Heart Counseling page for more detailed information about this specialized area of support.
My work with children and families draws on a different but equally important part of my professional background. With more than 20 years of experience working in Special Education in a school setting, I understand the educational system from the inside and can help parents understand their child’s needs in a school setting and navigate IEPs, 504 Plans, evaluations, and the special education process and services.
I have also taught counseling at the graduate level, supervised and mentored developing clinicians, and written on mental health, relationships, and personal growth. These different professional experiences continue to inform the perspective I bring to my work with clients.
My approach is collaborative, practical, and solution-focused. I believe good counseling should help you understand what is happening and why, while also helping you determine what you can actually do with that understanding.
Just as importantly, I value genuine connection and creating an environment where clients feel comfortable speaking openly and doing meaningful work.

Affair recovery requires a different approach than traditional couples counseling. My work emphasizes understanding betrayal trauma, accountability, honesty, emotional safety, and meaningful change.
