I offer Telehealth Services on a HIPAA Compliant platform.
Depression, fear, and anxiety are some of the most common and uncomfortable emotions that we can experience at some point in our lives. Left untreated, it is usually not something that will simply go away on it's own. Through counseling and treatment, clients are able to help identify their source of distress and seek out ways to reduce symptoms and learn healthier ways to cope and find joy in their life again.
Academic concerns are closely related to the mental health of children and can have a lasting impact on self-esteem. Most children want to succeed in school and if they are not, it usually points to some form of emotional difficulty and/or the presence of a learning disability. I work with students who are underachieving or feeling some kind of school centered distress to help them better cope and meet with success.
Educational Advocacy / IEP Consulting
Navigating the special education process and developing an Individualized Education Program (IEP) for your child can be an overwhelming process. I help parents learn how to effectively advocate for their child in school and to seek out the appropriate resources that may be available to support their child's academic progress and social-emotional growth.
Relationship counseling can be beneficial to couples who are looking to strengthen their emotional connection, in all stages of their relationship. Therapy sessions are held in a supportive place on neutral ground to discuss issues and solutions to better strengthen the relationship or knowing when it may be time to end the relationship appropriately, kindly and with support. Adjusting to a new life after a recent divorce can be challenging. Having someone to talk to can ease a lot of the emotional trauma. If you have recently experienced betrayal trauma from an affair, please see the Affairs of the Heart page for more information.
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) who has been trained as a Marriage & Family Therapist which allows me to understand symptoms within the context of family relationships.
I specialize in Affair Recovery and helping families heal from infidelity.
The focus of my work is to help individuals and families find solutions to whatever their challenges might be. I begin by helping people identify the thought process and life style patterns that are no longer working for them and then together, we build the strategies that will allow for the needed changes and the development of a desired outcome or vision for the future.

Solution-focused therapy blends traditional therapeutic methods with life coaching strategies. It helps people find the tools to immediately manage symptoms, create positive change in their lives and to develop a vision for the future. This is a collaborative, holistic approach that puts you in charge of creating the right vision for your life.
I believe that families are an emotional system and when one member of the family is struggling, everyone in the family is predictably affected in some way. My goal is to help families and individuals find a solution and get back on track as quickly as possible. Knowledge of how the emotional system operates in one’s family, can reveal new and more effective methods for solving problems.
